Choose the Right Build Plate and Nozzle for Your Material
Different materials require different build plates and nozzles to ensure optimal printing results. Here's a quick guide:
PLA, Textura, and Flexible (TPU): Use the Acrylic build plate and standard nozzle. The acrylic plate provides good adhesion for these materials.
PETG, Carbon Fiber, or similar materials: Use the Polycarbonate build plate and high-temperature nozzle. The polycarbonate plate is more resistant to heat and better suited for these materials.
Polypropylene (PP): Use the Polypropylene (PP) build plate and standard nozzle. The PP plate provides a good surface for PP material, and the standard nozzle is sufficient for printing with this material.
Identifying Build Plates
Acrylic plates: Look for the build plate with one hole along the side edge.
Polycarbonate plates: Look for the build plate with two holes along the side edge.
Polypropylene (PP) plates: These plates are light gray in color (cream type).
Material-Specific Feeder Gap Adjustments
Certain materials, such as TPU and Carbon Fiber, may require adjustments to the feeder gap to ensure proper filament feeding and reliable printing. While the default feeder gap setting is 0.7mm, slight variations may be necessary depending on the material's hardness or softness.
Please refer to the documentation for specific feeder gap adjustment values for your chosen material.
